I don't read an awful lot of thrillers, so I'm not the best judge of a book like this, but it has come VERY highly regarded within Allen & Unwin, so I thought I'd better check it out. It's been widely compared to Michael Connelly, especially The Poet, which I have read, and Lee Child seems to be a fan. It's certainly incredibly exciting! Right from the opening prologue, you're completely hooked. Jim Thane is brought in to turn around a failing software company, and everything he finds at the company makes no sense, the owners don't seem to be who they say they are, he seems to be under surveillance, people seem to know things about his past that they shouldn't know...he's drawn into a mystery which goes much, much further than the reader would ever expect, and has a shocking twist at the end. Good stuff!
